Lady Riders of Michigan was started back in 2008 by a group
of ladies that were looking for something more that what other motorcycle groups offered.
1. We were women riders and we wanted to encourage other women riders. 2. We wanted a group that didn't have the drama associated with so many othe groups we found. 3. We wanted to have fun and enjoy the sport with our fellow women riders. So in June 2008 about 30+ ladies got together and we formed Lady Riders of Michigan. We now have four (4) chapters and hope to have even more in 2010. We welcome any skill level and any type of bike. If you would be interested in additional rider training we are here to offer you that support and help as well. We all started out at the same place regardless if it was 2 weeks ago or 25 years ago. No one is here to judge, they're just there if you need them and to have fun. We have a minimum of four (4) events per year, and as we grow so will these events. Some are just day rides, others may be longer trips. We even have events for the off season! Chapters have their own set of rides and may from time to time invite the other chapters to attend. Lady Riders of Michigan does not dictate to it's chapters what it can and can not do as far as rides, as long as they are safe. Yes we do have several chapters and you can visit their pages here and link to their websites if they have them. Don't see a chapter in your area? We would be happy to work with you to get one started. There are no minimums and you can have as little or as many in your chapter as you wish. We do have rules and guidelines, but they are mostly just common sense and for safety. Not interested in joining a chapter? That's okay too you don't have to. You may belong to just the main group, one chapter or two...or all. The choice is all yours! Feel free to contact us at any time, we look forward to riding with you soon. |
